The elected officers and various committees try to ensure that our members and visiting teams enjoy the bowling and that the club to is able to function. Help is always needed with club events, raffles, general maintenance and cleaning of the clubhouse, storage sheds, bowls equipment, grass surrounds, fences, hedge and flower beds. ![]() Winter events include short-mat bowls, bingo, bridge, quizzes and lunches. For the 2011 season, we had friendly matches, both home and away, against 27 clubs in Kent and Essex, including a visiting touring team, the Lincolnshire EBA Vice Presidents. We have our own tour every two years, the last being based in Bournemouth. For 2012, we will visit the Isle of Wight. Our men and ladies compete separately each week in the Shepway league against 10 other clubs in the Shepway and district area. Each year, we hold an Open Mixed Triples Competition. |
